Guidelines for authors

1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Articles (elaborated in MS Word) should be delivered by e-mail to: kongres@pk.edu.pl.
Minimal lenght of the article is set to 15 000 characters (with spaces). Maximal lenght, including annotations, references, titles of illustrations (max. 4 illustrations), is set to 20 000 (without spaces).

On the first page of the article the following should be specified in the prescribed order:

    – the author’s first name and surname,
    – the title of the article in English,
    – the abstract in English,
    – key words in English,
    – at the bottom of the page the annotation specifying the author’s/authors’ title(s) (academic degree), first name(s), surname(s), the name of the institute, faculty, university/institution (in English).

At the end of the article the list of references should be specified.
Please prepare the abstracts in English in a way that it could be located on the first page (abstract should have up to 1000 characters, with spaces).
Please save the text file in .rtf or .doc format. Please do not write papers in .pdf format.

2. TECHNICAL RECOMMENDATION
In order to set the correct column format (13 x 19.5 cm) for print the following actions should be consequtively performed in the MS Word computer programme:
1. Open the FILE menu
next PAGE SETTINGS
in the MARGINS section write in the appropriate boxes:
UPPER 5.7 cm
LOWER 5.1 cm
LEFT 4 cm
RIGHT 4 cm
MARGIN FOR BINDING 0
POSITION OF THE MARGIN FOR BINDING left
ORIENTATION vertical
PAGES standard
PAPER A4
WHOLE DOCUMENT
2. Open the menu INSERT
page numbers, and then set it up:
LOCATION top of page (header)
external ALIGNMENT
press FORMAT
set the number format: 1, 2, 3 …
Numbers have the basic character size (Times New Roman, size 10).

3. ILLUSTRATION MATERIAL
If the illustrative material is going to be delivered by the authors by e-mail, it should have the following form:
Bit graphics (eg. scans of photographs, all kinds of pictures from digital cameras or collections on CD-R etc.)
picture resolution – at least 300 dpi
format TIFF, JPEG
Vectorial drawings (marks, logos, diagrams etc.) executed in Corel or Adobe Illustrator programmes
format CD-R, AI

We have the possibility of opening and processing files saved in the following programmes:
Adobe Photoshop 7.0
Corel Draw 9.0
Adobe Illustrator 9.0
MS Word 2002/XP

Attention!
Please, do not give us graphic files downloaded from the Internet because the picture resolution of such files is very small (72 dpi), which makes it impossible to print them properly (the required resolution is 300 dpi).
Please do not deliver files (tables, charts, etc.) made in Word, in color, in particular, contain explanatory text color.
